2021 Stuart Boat Show — Two Rivers Boatworks had big news this year when they decided to grab a booth at this year’s Stuart Boat Show. With many things in the works, one of the main projects they’ve been working on the last two months was the TRB Editions Skimmer Skiff 16′. They recently took a 16’6 Skimmer Skiff and gave it a major overhaul upgrading almost every aspect of the boat. This project is the 2nd TRB Customs job they have completed and they couldn’t be happier with the end result. They powered this hull with a brand new Mercury Racing 60R that was recently released last year. The 60R is a lightweight, compact outboard tuned and geared to deliver amazing hole-shot acceleration for instant on-plane performance in skinny water. The Mercury Racing 60R fits perfectly on a 15-inch transom. Compared to competing 20-inch motors the Mercury Racing 60R offers a lower center of gravity for better boat handling and stability. It can accommodate a lower poling platform while eliminating the need for a jack plate or flared transom.

The amount of attention that this skiff drew at the show was amazing! They were set up in one of the last tents near the exit so it was inevitable that people would stop and check out the boat right before they left. More times than not, event goers were stopping for minimum 30 minutes to ask questions. The TRB team was at the 2021 Stuart Boat Show in full force to answer every question and take contact information for those interested in something similar and/or a new Mercury Marine motor for their boat. The idea to create some buzz leading to the event was a great marketing tool. Little by little we were revealing certain things on the boat that would get people hooked and wanting more.

The team has already received a new order for an identical skiff build which is in the works now. They have also received several new hulls to put the ‘TRB Touch’ on and will be cranking those out within the next few months.
